Apollo Series 65 12V Relay Base 45681-508

The Apollo 45681-508 Series 65 12V Relay Base can be used in either intruder alarm systems or fire systems. Please note this relay base will only accept series 65 heat and smoke detectors. This clever versatile base has been designed to operate over between 9-15V DC.

By using a 12 Volt Relay Base it allows installers to use normal (latching) heat and smoke detectors for applications such as intruder alarm systems where a latching and non-latching detector is needed.

Operating Principle

The Apollo Series 65 12V Relay Base 45681-508 fitted with a standard (latching) detector receives an alarm signal. The relay and detector remain latched until the supply is removed which resets the relay and device.

When using the non-latching mode, the detector will latch in alarm condition, the 45681-508 relay base will wait fifteen seconds and automatically reset the detector by removing the supply.

The base has an internal jumper link so configuring this base for latching or non-latching is simple
