The Honeywell DF8M is a state of the art photo electronic wireless smoke sensor suitable for commercial or residential applications. This safety product has a built-in siren (85dB @ 3M) and will detect all types of smoke

When the DF8M has been activated its will notify occupants with its integral sounder, this clever detector will also send signals to the intruder alarm panel which include maintenance, battery and tamper condition.

The Honeywell DF8M is compatible with Galaxy G2, Galaxy Dimension and Domonial residential intruder alarms. This cross range compatibility means professional installers need only stock one smoke detector for all types of installations.

Detects all smoke types using infrared light to measure the amount of smoke in the chamber every ten seconds.

Advanced processor

Helps get rid of  false alarms and maintains correct operation automatically at factory calibrated detection levels even when the sensitivity is altered due to contaminants in the unit’s smoke chamber.

Dual protocol sensor

Configuration to V2GY or Alpha protocols makes the Honeywell DF8M compatible with all intruder alalrm panels (Galaxy 2, Domonial, Vista and Galaxy Dimension)

Built in piezoelectric sounder

Guarantee maximum life safety by generating an audible siren locally, this product meets requirements for compliance to new EN14604 European standard

Removable chamber top and detector cover 

Allow installers to quickly and simply clean the detector chamber without having to dismantle the detector head.

"Clean Me" signal

Detecto can recognise a dirty chamber and signal a "clean me" message to the intruder alarm panel.

LED indicators Green and Red 

A red LED signals abnormal conditions such as operation/power status, low battery, smoke detected or maintenance required while a Green LED means a normal condition while the red LED 

Test button

Allows users a quick way of testing the Honeywell DF8M Detector.
