SEISMO-ADVANCE is a shock/tilt sensor designed for Grade 3 installations. Operating at a standard nominal voltage of 12VDC, the following features can be configured on the PCB via shunt links:
Detection mode (Shock, Tilt, Either, Both)
Pulse count (1, 2, 4, 6)
Comfort/heartbeat LED (on/off)
Shock/tilt LED feedback (on/off)
EOL resistors (1k, 2k2, 4k1, 4k7, 5k6)
Alarm resistors (1k, 2k2, 4k1, 4k7, 5k6, 6k8)
Fault resistors (2k2, 3k, 6k8, 12k)
High sensitivity (on/off)
Tamper protection is provided by a breakaway PCB section that detects removal from the fitting surface. A sprung microswitch detects removal of the product lid. The sensitivity of the unit is fine-tuned with an onboard potentiometer.
This unit has terminals for fault output – a mandatory feature for G3 installations. This output may be wired separately or incorporated into the EOL circuit so all signals use only two wires.
A terminal is provided for wiring that allows the connected I&HAS to control the output of the LEDs – useful for enabling during walk testing and disabling otherwise. A latch terminal is also present – this terminal allows the unit to signal via LEDs that it has alarmed when the system is unset. Both the LED control and latch terminals should be wired to a suitably programmed output in the I&HAS.
Note: Due to restrictions in EN50131 regarding ancillaries with logic control and alarm status visibility, this sensor cannot be wired as part of a shared zone without compromising the security grade of the system.
