The C-TEC CFP708-2 is a two-wire fire alarm panel which has been designed to work with Apollo's AlarmSense product range of fire detectors, sounders, beacons and callpoints
The majority of conventional fire alarm systems have been manufactured to be installed with two pairs of fire cable fitted per zone one pair for devices like heat and smoke detectors, fire alarm call points, the other pair of wire's for devices such as sounders, bells, or strobes.
By cleverly utilising various voltage bands for quiescent and alarm conditions, the AlarmSense devices can take advantage of the same two core's of fire alarm cable when controlled and powered by the C-TEC CFP708-2 two-wire fire alarm panel. This dependable technology makes designing a conventional fire alarm system less complex, cutting installation cost's and making installing this system quick and simple. Research has shown that up to 20-25% reduction in labour cost's can be achieved with the use of an AlarmSense two wire systems over that of a standard four wire fire alarm system.
This cost saving, high performance reliable system using AlarmSense devices can be used in HMOs or Houses of Multiple Occupation as the conform to BS5839-6 and BS5839-1. The CFP708-2 is also available in two or four zone versions.
